Bharathiar University Distance MBA
The Government of Tamil Nadu founded the Bharathiar University Distance Education in Coimbatore in February 1982 under the Bharathiar University Act, of 1981. (Act 1 of 1982). The former Postgraduate Centre of the University of Madras served as the foundation of the Bharathiar University, which operated in Coimbatore prior to 1982. In 1985, the University Grants Commission (UGC) approved Bharathiar University for funds. The University has 39 Departments that provide 54 post-graduate programs in addition to M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees. The University is a partner institution. The University's jurisdiction includes the districts of Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur, and The Nilgiris, and it has 133 affiliated colleges. In the third cycle assessment, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council awarded the University an 'A' grade.
